In a world no longer dominated by two superpowers, India works through many clubs at once: the EU for trade and technology, BRICS for emerging-economy voice, ASEAN for Indo-Pacific connectivity, and African and Gulf forums for energy, diaspora, and development. Multipolar engagement is India's way of gaining options without dependence on any one centre.
