A business plan is the written document that describes a venture's opportunity, product, market, operations, organisation and finances, and how it will make money — written for founders to think clearly, and for lenders and investors to judge risk. Feasibility analysis is the prior test of whether the venture deserves a full plan: technical feasibility (can it be made?), market feasibility (will enough customers buy?), financial feasibility (will it earn enough?), organisational feasibility (can the team deliver it?) and legal feasibility (is it permitted?). Worked example: a plan for a food delivery start-up in a small town fails market feasibility if the town has too few orders to cover rider costs — no amount of good operations fixes a market that is too small, which is why feasibility comes before the plan, not after it.
