A research report is how a study earns trust: it states the question, shows the method, presents findings honestly, and admits limits, so readers can judge and reuse the work. Metric studies add a second lens, counting publications and citations to map influence and productivity. A report that hides its sample size or cherry-picks citations fails both tests at once.
