Sale of goods law governs the transfer of ownership of movable property for a price, while partnership law governs people who carry on business together and share its profits. This chapter separates the sale contract from agency and hire, and the partnership from a company. A worked example shows a buyer who orders goods by description and receives goods that do not match: the buyer can reject them, because the goods must correspond with their description.
