Drama is literature written to be performed: its meaning lives in speech, action and spectacle, not in narration. Aristotle's Poetics gives the classic toolkit — plot, character, thought, diction, song and spectacle — and the exam tests whether you can apply it, not merely recite it. Example: in a tragedy, the plot is an imitation of a serious, complete action; the hero's fall follows from a flaw or error (hamartia), not from bad luck alone.
