Curriculum is not just the syllabus list. It is the total planned learning experience of pupils under the school's guidance — subjects, activities, values and the hidden lessons of school life. A syllabus says what topics to cover; a curriculum says why, for whom, in what order, and how learning will be judged. Worked example: two schools teaching the same science syllabus differ as curricula if one adds laboratory work, field visits and environmental projects while the other only lectures — the planned experience is different even though the topic list is the same.
